snoring with cpap

Post by dontrot » Tue Aug 16, 2011 9:59 am

I have been using a ResMed autoset vantage with humidifier and full face mask for several years. My wife says I have learned to snore even when I am using the mask and it is on. Is there a setting I need to change? If so, which setting and in which direction?

Your therapy is not optimized. Try increasing the pressure a bit until the snoring stops. I am assuming that this thing doesn't have data.

My machine does have data but I am unfamiliar with how to interpret what is there. I have accessed the user's manual on line but it only talks about an EPR setting. Is that the one which adjusts the pressure?

Ask wife if you are on your back, side, etc when you snore to see if it is positional...

Check min/max pressure settings you're using, or if fixed cpap pressure?

Why don't you register so we can see whar machine and mask you are using. Someone will tell you haw to access the data you need to determine if you need a pressure change. Go to the User Control Panel at the top of this page.
