Announcement: Minor Bug Fix in MyEncore

Post by derek » Thu Oct 27, 2005 11:46 am

Thanks to cybergoon for pointing out a minor bug in MyEncore.

In Ver. 1.03 if you try to "Export Pressure Data" to a text file while there are less than 32 days of data in the Encore Pro database, you will get an error message. I have fixed the problem, and a new version of MyEncore is now available for download from cpatalk.com:

Click here to download MyEncore Ver. 1.04

You can decide whether it is worth installing the updated version. Should you decide to do so, you should:
1) Uninstall your old version (from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel).
2) To install the new version, double-click on the myencore.msi file that you have downloaded .
3) You may have to reset your preferences.

Let me repeat that there are no functional changes in Ver. 1.04, it simply addresses this one problem.

With best wishes,
Derek

Unable to access EncorePro Database

Post by sixthst3 » Fri Feb 10, 2006 7:27 pm

I am getting an error when trying to use MyEncore. Encore Pro seems to be working fine.

MyEncore Version 1.0.2x
EncorePro Version 1.5i

Error Message: Unable to access EncorePro Database. SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

I have a guess as to what the problem may be, but do not know how to address. When installing Encore Pro, I think I remember it asking for a Database Password, which I did setup. Since MyEncore doesn't come up, I have no idea where to tell it what the password is for the Database. I also can't find any setup on EncorePro to disable the Database Password.

Thanks for your help.

My Encore won't work before you've downloaded some data from your card.

MyEncore Version 1.0.2x
EncorePro Version 1.5i

Error Message: Unable to access EncorePro Database. SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
Are these 2 versions compatible? He's having problems with Encore Pro at this point, not MyEncore (as I read it).

If the 2 versions are compatible, then can he fix the problem by running the setup.exe file?

Sixth, try loading this driver. It can't hurt.

It's late and I'm confused (as usual). But why are you using an old version of MyEncore? The newest version is MyEncore Ver. 1.5b.7 from Derek’s site (via this forum):

If you try to run the newest version, then you would have to unstall the older version first.

If you have your reasons, just ignore me. ....
