Difference between PR S1 and Intellipap

Post by sleepyb » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:05 am

Hi all,
Haven't posted in a while since it's summer and way too much to do but I know that someone here would have an answer for this:

I have both the Intellipap Auto that I use daily and a PR S1 Auto as a backup that I haven't used in quite a while.
I decided that I would take the Sys 1 on vacation to give it some use.
There are quite a few differences between the two, like noise. (Forgot how loud the PR S1 is in comparison), and how it registers snores or hypops, but I noticed that my pressure doesn't seem to change on the PR S1 (on auto no aflex), it stays around 10. The Intellipap usually bumps up from 10 to 12 or 13 by morning. I have the smartflex set to 1 and 1). I am guessing the smartflex might make a little difference but I wouldn't think it would be 2 or 3 cm. Unfortunately I don't have encore viewer (somewhere in my closet at home) or encore pro on this computer. (New hard drive) so I don't know if the pressure is going up at night and down by early morning, but for the last 4 days it has been 10 when I wake up.
I am sleeping well so I guess it shouldn't matter, but I am curious if anyone has any thoughts on it.
Finally, (I hate to ask this because it shows how stupid I am for not backing up my hard drive ), but if anyone can PM me Encore Pro it would be a great help.

I don't put a lot of faith in any machine setting THE right pressure when the difference is as little as 10-13. The differences in scoring algorithms is too much. It's how it works for you that counts.
