Snoring doesn't play a big role in my situation, either. After 79 days of sincere efforting with mask and machine, plus a few more weeks of research when I had the flu back in March and could not use the machine, I do wonder if it's worth all the fuss. Since I've been on the machine, I am more tired and my insomnia is worse. I know my mask is too small, but am not eligible for another until 9/24. I want to give it one more month beyond that date to see if, with the proper mask, CPAP therapy helps me 1) feel better rested and/or 2) sleep regularly through the night. Come the end of October, if I don't see even slight results in these two areas, those masks are destined to be used for Halloween costumes!
You're lucky that you don't have "severe" UARS. UARS messed up my life to a degree I am not able to function like a normal human-being. I feel like a zombie and I am just almost 23 :/ Another thing that I am suffering from this all my life... Maybe UARS doesn't cause desaturations but it is disrupting for sleep, robs us of deep sleep and it causes sleep fragmentation. Since I started CPAP therapy I feel even more like a shit than I did before, I can't sleep with this, I can't get used to this but I know that I am risking dying of exhaustion if I do nothing. Maybe you will find another solution to your problem, I wish you this. IMO UARS is not something you can left untreated. I am 23 and serious problems started some 2-3 years ago, I was quite ok back then.

Ah, thanks!

I see that a new version of Sleepyhead is in its testing stage. Do you recommend that I get this version or the previous one? If you think I'd do better with the previous one while the kinks are being worked out of the upcoming one, would you please point me in the direction for downloading it and any accompanying directions? I scooted around this site but I'm looking in all the wrong places.
Epworth Sleepiness Scale: 14
Diagnostic study: overall AHI: 0.2 events/hour; overall RDI: 45 events/hour
Titration study: AHI: 6.1; RDI: 27; CPAP pressures: 5-8cm

Not-tired behind my eyes and with a clear, cool head!
