EP2: Could Not Check Database Version

Post by Slinky » Sat Jul 30, 2011 10:15 am

*sigh* I know this was discussed recently. And I blythely and smuggly replied in that thread that I have had this happen to me on more than one occasion but always just Okay closing EP2 and re-opening EP2 then worked just fine. So .... I humbly ask of those who have encountered this: who did what to get EP2 working again? Please.

I have had this happen a few times just like you described, and I merely closed out and re-opened (as you did) and even had to close, open, close, open, etc. a few times on at least one occassion.
A couple other times NOTHING worked, so I uninstalled, and reinstalled. Worked fine.

Thanks, Vader. I had, of course, tried the Close, Open bit several times before posting. I got disgusted and just shut my 'puter down totally and went about my chores, etc. When I came back and fired up the 'puter again, of course, out of curiosity I had to try opening EP2 - and everything worked just fine. Sheesh! Go figger!
