Resmed software

Post by apneawho » Thu Jul 28, 2011 6:32 pm

I have a question. If I take my data card out of the S9 and download the data to the Resmed software on my computer, I want to make sure it doesn't alter or eliminate any of the data on the card because I will have to send the card in later for a compliance report.

None of the data on your card will be changed by doing that, ResScan just reads the card.

In any case, even if you put a blank SD card into your S9, it would download all the data you need for compliance purposes onto it.

Cheers,

Bill

A note of caution, if you use ResScan to set the treatment settings for your machine, it will overwrite the card. It does provide a warning before you do so. I haven't bothered to see if that is correct since I have to prove compliance for a work release letter. I can't imagine why you would want to use the card to set your settings. Much simpler to change the settings directly on the xpap machine.

It does not overwrite any of the existing treatment related data on the card if you do that, only the settings data.

Cheers,

Bill

Certainly it is. And what I say when these vendors use changing the settings as an excuse not to sell us the software. A weak excuse at that.

But the reason its done with the card is so the doc or RT doesn't have to touch the machine to program your settings. Maybe your machine is home but you are in for an appt.

Cheers

That is good to know. I can't afford to experiment with that right now. As a commercial driver I will need to prove compliance. I need a return to work authorization and must pass the DOT physical.

Even IF the card was damage, compliance can be read directly from the machine LCD.
