Hi all!
Was diagnosed at a sleep study in January of 2003. I finally admitted that something was wrong when I fell asleep and drove of the interstate near us. By wife had been telling me for a year or Two that I looked like I was falling asleep while driving, but I denied it and said she was seeing things! My parents told me in 1994 that it sounded like I snored and stopped breathing. I never gave it a thought because my wife never mentioned it, but she's a heavy sleeper!
I've been on a CPAP since February, 2003. My setting is 16. I turned off the Ramp feature the 3rd or 4th night because I found myself laying there waiting for it to ramp up. Like others, I suffer from nasal congestion, mostly at night, I still use a nasal mask, I switch between the Resmed Mirage Activa and the Breeze, I fight the congestion with a Breathe Right strip with the Activa. The Breeze seems to clean out my sinuses by itself!
I have tried quite a few masks until settling on the Activa and Breeze, all paid for out of pocket so as not to make the insurance pay for MY testing!

hi garym
Cool...another Breeze and Activa fan! Best masks around, imho. Snoring and getting very drowsy driving were the main things that made me look into getting treatment too. Sure has made a difference. Will look forward to seeing your posts on the board.
