420E humidifier - very warm

Post by jcarn » Mon Jan 30, 2006 1:06 pm

Hi all .. I've notice the past few nights that my humidifier for the 420E gets extremely warm. I have it set barely on 1, but it is very warm to the touch. I don't even feel the heat on my HC234 when it's on 3.
Just wondering if it's normal for it to be that sensitive. The first night I had it, the heat was turned up to 3. It felt like the rain forest.

Any thoughts?

Thanks .. jcarn

I can't compare the H2O to any other humidifier - it's the only one I've ever had.

It gets warm. Not scalding warm but definitely warm. Not warmish, not slightly warm. Warm.

Hope that helps.... I usually have it on 2
O.

thanks ozij .. I'm comparing it to barely warm (HC234), so the warm I am feeling (420E) is probably extremely warm in comparison.

I used the word warm three times in one sentence.

I use a Respironics HH at setting 3 and it (and the remaining water) is pretty warm if I take the tank off immediately upon shutting down, but it cools so quickly that it wouldn't be noticable after just a few minutes.
