It will be just like your diagnostic study except you will wear a cpap mask.
Try to remember your first study. If it was cold, dress warm or ask for extra blankets before it starts.
At mine they sized me and showed me 3 different types; full, nasal, and pillow. They let me try them on and lay down and see what I thought. I picked 2 to try, the full, just in case it came to that so I would know, and the swift FX, which I was hoping would work. I never got to sleep with the full, and was out like a light with the pillows.

Good luck!

I had a pretty good experience with my titation....Just try to relax...I know it is a little hard with all kinds of things attached to all over your body, but it is not that bad. Make sure to talk to your technician about anything on your mind and don't hesitate to try on different masks to find the most confortable one for yourself. Good Luck! Don't forget to update us about how it went!

Thanks for your input.
Can you tell me how you felt. Did you feel rested or different? Was there a big difference...?

Some people do well and report that the titration sleep study allowed them to "get the best sleep ever" and wake up feeling like a new person.

Others... like me.. well let's just say it wasn't so great and there were no miracles for me. Idiot sleep tech and it just went downhill from there. Don't want to jinx you with the gory details.

Hoping yours goes smoothly and without any major difficulties.

My experience was, other then technician waking me up, to put mask on. I felt wonderful the next day. Alot of it may also be from adrenaline of finally being tested, and knowing I was on my way to a good night's sleep. The sleep study room, was way more beautiful, peaceful and comfortable then my bedroom at home, sure wish my bedroom at home was the same. The room I stayed in was large, bathroom/shower, HDtv, dvd player, dining table, phone, king size bed. I asked the tech, if I could move in, she said sure, get a sleep tech certificat, and you'll be in here every night

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I should probably to not expect too much; but the thought of feeling rested in the morning almost seems impossible!

Although I woke up at 5am on the morning of my titration, I felt great! I was very lucky, because my tech. had also OSA and she knew what I was going through. I think the most important thing is (I know it is hard) not to overthink about it. I know you will do just fine After you get mask and your device, I am sure that you'll start to feel rested in the mornings. I am a newbie too, infact just got my device and mask today and it will be my first night tonight. From what I hear though, commitment to your to your treatment is the best thing you can do. I'll do my best, I know you will too!
