I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!

Post by sister » Mon May 16, 2011 4:25 pm

Well, please be happy for me!!!
I had 0 leaks and 0 AHI last night for the first time!!
I have been trying so many things but it seemed that I just could never get my leaks down.It may never happen again but I intend to keep doing the same things and pray that it works.
What a good feeling when you have tried for so long.
GOD BLESS YOU!

Hey, sister, I'm happy for you! Great news and something to be proud of. How did you do it or what changes have you made?

Well beckah,
Ihave always had a really bad problem with mouth leaks.I had a UPPP in 2007 which left almost nothing in my throat but a lot of problems trying to use the c-pap. I use taping to keep the mouth closed. I thought my swift fx pillows were sealing just fine,at least they seemed to be when I went to sleep.
So I have had a hard time trying to figure out where these leaks were coming from.
Last night I sealed everything and turned on my right side as I usually do but before I went to sleep i placed my hand in front of the mask and kind of went to sleep with my hand against it(not over the vent though). It must have just been enough pressure to keep the mask from moving.
It worked great!

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

Have a good night.
I never knew how important it was to wish someone a good night until I found out I had sleep apnea.

This is great news! When you start to "stack up" the good night(s) sleep. You body starts feeling better and you are on your way to recovery. Keep it up!
