Air diffuser trouble and co2 buildup

Post by justlemmysleep » Sat Jan 21, 2006 11:48 am

I have a question about my mask's air diffuser. The air diffuser seems to not let hardly any air vent out of the mask. This concerns me that I am not getting enough oxygen when using the mask. Isn't air still suppose to quickly escape out the diffuser to prevent co2 buildup? Just how much air is suppose to come out of the diffuser? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

The literature that came with the mask will tell you what the built -in leak rate is. If you have a 'pap that records data, you will be able to caompare the reported leak with the stated mask leak rate.
