I just purchased a Intellipap Auto set unit to use as a backup and travel unit. What battery do you suggest to use with it? Primary use will be during a storm when power is out & or on an aircraft. So if I'm correct a inverter will also be necessary. Is there such a thing as a quiet inverter?
Can the unit be used with the humidifier with water in it, but not turned on? (blow by)
What battery are you using with Intellipap auto?

Re: What battery are you using with Intellipap auto?
I have a 120Amp/Hour Marine Deep Discharge battery for mine with a Battery Minder float charger. this is too big and heavy for airline use. Cpap.com has several small battery packs that can be used, they will power the cpap for at least one nights use. The Intellipap can be powered directly off a 12Volt battery, it will switch automatically from house power to battery power and back, when the power comes back on. The Humidifier will NOT heat off of battery power, but it work nicely in passover mode. If you want to use a heated humidifier you will have to get a inverter, a better grade modified sine wave inverter of at least 400Watts will work, but expect to get about only 1/2 to 1/3 the time out of a given battery. I have had one power outage since getting my Intellepap, I slept right trough till morning. I also used it a car for for several trips sleeping about four hours each trip no problems, I just made sure to unplug it before starting the car. I use the 12volt cord that I ordered for my Mseries cpap, it is very well made with two big filters on it and it is fused as well. I will say that I got some very strange looks from people when they looked over at me sleeping in the passenger seat with my mask, sun glasses, and a hat on. I just couldn't bring myself to use my trusty blue painter's tape. so I used my wife's inflatable neck pillow to keep my mouth shut, it worked quite well most of the time.
I will defiantly be using it for plane flights from now on, it folds flat and it can inflate to what you feel is comfortable
