My Bad experience with Curad paper tape

I recently learned that maybe the blue painter's tape I've been using for several years might not be healthy to use on skin. I know some of you recommend the 3M micropore paper tape. I was at Walmart and didn't want to have to drive to another store to find it, so I bought the Curad paper tape. OMG!! I couldn't get it off my mouth! I kept putting water on it and finally pulled it off. But all the glue is still there.......all around my mouth. It just won't come off. I was sitting here at the computer, with my arm up, resting my chin on it, and my fingers got stuck to my face!

This is very depressing..........to have found something that works so well and feel afraid to use it now (the blue tape). I'll keep looking for the 3M tape, but I hope it doesn't stick like the Curad tape. I've got to figure out how to get this glue off. And my lips and skin are going to be so red and sore.

I have developed what looks like a tiny white wart in the middle of my bottom lip. I think living 30% of my life with my lip covered up has caused it.
I've been doing sooooo well with my cpap. I don't want to change anything. I just know that any chinstrap out there won't work.

I'll look for the 3M paper tape. I sure hope its better than the Curad.

Look for this, or just purchase from Amazon.com. It comes in 1 inch or 2 inch. It doesn't hurt and doesn't leave residue.

Does it hold well?
Its 2 hours later, and I'm still trying to get this stuff off. I've used oil, alcohol, etc. and its still all gummy.
Sure glad I'm not in a beauty pageant today.

It holds well, it's meant to be worn long term by patients with thin, fragile skin. It's slightly perforated so your skin can breath and its a little stretchy so goes around the contours of your face, something that painters tape does not do.

I know it is expensive, but after your experience today, don't you think you're worth it?

Oh, it would definitely be worth it! I think most of us are willing to try just about anything to get good sleep!
Have you ever seen this stuff in a local store?

No, I haven't seen it in any local drugstores. I haven't tried medical supply stores, but amazon has always been a good resource for me, as I'm too tired to go shopping.

Watch out for the shipping charges from some of those independent sellers. It can be as high as the roll of tape, if you don't watch out.
