I got my machine with a nasal pillow mask on Apr. 11. The following week, I exchanged the mask for an EasyLife Nasal Lab Mask. This mask is much better as far as comfort, but I don't think it is helping me. I wake up feeling pretty rough. Several times I have woken up without the mask on, I must be removing it during the night.
These are some of my settings:
Days>4 - 23
Checkcode C8
Time (?)
7 day Avg. 5.42
30 day Avg. 6.30
AHI
7 day 5.4
30 day 6.3
How do I tell what my pressure setting is? I sometimes can't tell the machine is on, so I open my mouth and get the rush, so I know it is pushing air through, and I don't use the ramp function.
Thanks for your help!

On the info screen where you got the AHI information you should be able to see the pressure setting. If you can't, the DME has locked you out of that information. We can tell you how to get into the clinician's menu and change what you are "allowed" to see.
Your AHI's are pretty high, but there's no way to tell what's really going on by just looking at the LED screen on your machine. All we can tell is that you are not yet receiving optimal therapy. In order to see the detailed data your machine collects, you need to use software. You can purchase Encore Viewer from online retailers like our hosts at cpap.com for about $100 or you can use an online service developed by one of the forum members if you do a search on this board for "Onkor".
Take a look at my blog at http://www.maskarrayed.wordpress.com and look for the "Respironics Data Tutorial". That will show you the kind of data you can see with the software on your computer. Software is crucial to be able to look at leaks and what else might be causing you to remove the mask and have such high AHI's.

Re: Not loving it yet
I think one of the first things is to be able to check your leak rate. As to taking your mask off during the night- if this is happenng often you may want to use a small amount of tape and tape the mask to your face. When you try to take the mask off during the night the tape will remind you to keep it on. It takes some of us a while to feel better and as janknitz said your AHI is a little high. How did you get a 30 day average since you just started April 11? Give it a little more time and then contact your doc if your numbers remain high. Good luck.

How did you get a 30 day average since you just started April 11? That is what my machine says - I went to the PR data viewer site and looked at the last week. This is what I see. I don't yet know what it means:
http://www.onkor.net/browse.php?pnumber=PO2282213
I slept better with the nasal pillow, but was uncomfortable with the face pieces. Not sure the nasal mask is much better for me. I don't think I am having a lot of leaks . My next appointment with DME is next Tuesday.

Re: Not loving it yet
On screen LED AHI is 7 and 30 day average. It will show 30 day average number even if not quite 30 days of use because it is a rolling average of sorts. Just like if it was the first night ever used. There would be only one night of data but 7 day and 30 day average would still show and would be identical.Rumblesis wrote:How did you get a 30 day average since you just started April 11?
