Rescan download shows no data for today.
Resmed showed a AHI of 1.1 this morning. Removed locked and then downloaded my data. THere was no new data for today including no summary data. Inserted a brand new card into rescan and it told me the card was locked. Unlocked and inserted, took a lot longer for it to complete the process. Ran this card through rescan and all my summary data was there. Updated this file with my backup data. Everything was there except for detailed data for today.
Formated data on old card put into resmed and it also took longer to complete ( downloaded all summary data) Checked this card through ResScan and all summary data was there. This card was updated through backup data and all but detail data for today was there.
Needles to say I am now using the new card and will hopefully be glad when I download the data in the morning.
One time in the past I left the card card out. On the way to the little room in the morning my brain started working again. I remembered that the card was on my desk and not in the machine. In the morning after installing the card for what was left of the night. I found summary data and a few hours of the detailed data.
It appears to me that there was a glitch with the old card and it appears to be corrected by the format and new download.
Can anyone think of any other reason for this to have happened?
From now on every two weeks I will be formating the disk and updating the data from my backup?
NOW I CAN REALLY USE HELP.
After that I thought that the suspence was over. Each card was placed in the machine one at a time and it said not a valid data card and it said yes or no to validate the card.

Re: Rescan download shows no data for today.
Back when I had my S9, I got this kind of message when I had a virus/worm of some sort on the machine that ResScan lived on and that I was downloading the data to. After hubby disinfected said computer, I didn't get the message anymore.Bobby269 wrote: NOW I CAN REALLY USE HELP.

Hopefully you'll find a better reason for the behavior than an infected computer.

Re: Rescan download shows no data for today.
The S9 writes data to the card in a specific layout that is not duplicated by your PC. That's why the "invalid card" message.Bobby269 wrote: It appears to me that there was a glitch with the old card and it appears to be corrected by the format and new download.

If you download and backup every two weeks you will lose 1/2 of the high resolution data for flow. The S9 records 365 days of summary data in a summary data file. That file also is stored in the S9 memory. It records 30 days of detail data. Detail data is updated every 2 seconds and is written to the SD card only. The S9 also records 7 days of high resolution data which is for the flow and mask pressure. This data is updated 25 times per second and is recorded on the SD card only. The detail and hi-res data are written in "round robin" fashion on the card, meaning the oldest data is overwritten by the newest data. That's why there's never more than 30 days of detail and 7 days of hi-res data at any one time on your SD card.
The hi-res mask pressure data isn't shown in Resscan unless your unit is in APAP mode. In CPAP mode what you see in the Pressure graph is the detail version of that data.
If your card did in fact have a problem last night and last night's data did not get recorded on it, then your hi-res data and detail data for last night have gone into that ethereal bit bucket in the sky. Your machine did not keep a copy of it like it did the summary data. That's why your new card has all the summary data but no detail data for last night.

Re: Rescan download shows no data for today.
That's usually a sign that the card was not recognised by the S9 when you inserted it, and so no data at all was added to what was already there.Bobby269 wrote:THere was no new data for today including no summary data.
The S9 does display a warning message if it thinks the SD Card is inserted (or not properly making contact with the reader) in the flow generator, but will none the less operate without the card.
As to why the card wasn't recognised..... well that sometime happens with SD cards in any device. You do need to explicitly look for the acknowledgement message on the S9 after the card is inserted.

Re: Rescan download shows no data for today.
It appears that the resmed SD card was the problem. My new card that was installed yesterday was able to properly download last night data. Summary and Detailed. Thank goodness I have a PDF of each day of data.
What is the proper way to format and reenter the data on a new card. My new backup copy without going into the datalog folder
looks exactly like my two other backups. If I want to update my sd card every 2 weeks like others do. I remove all the data from the card
then insert it into machine which copies summary data to it. Then other files have to be copied from my backup on my computer to my
SD card. That's where I'm lost. What are the other files that have to be copied to the SD card ?
Thank you in advancefor any help that can be offered.

Re: Rescan download shows no data for today.
Basically you don't need to "reenter" anything to the new card. The S9 will have downloaded everything it has stored internally whenever it sees an empty card inserted.Bobby269 wrote:What is the proper way to format and reenter the data on a new card.
Once you have the data downloaded data from the card into ResScan, there's no particular need to still have it on the SD card (unless your sleep clinician/insurer is actually going to want to see the SD card for anything beyond basic compliance - which would be an unusual circumstance indeed). You should, of course, be backing up the data on your PC/laptop on a regular basis!

Bill

I meant in regards to the data skew problem.

Q1. Have you presonally experienced the data skew problemBobby269 wrote:I meant in regards to the data skew problem.
Q2. If so, has it impacted your OSA therapy is any substantive way
Unless there answer is decisively Yes to both those questions, you are chasing shadows.

Bill

Re: Rescan download shows no data for today.
BernieRay gave a good method for restoring SD cards. Search for posts by him with key words restore or backup. It was probably about 1 to 2 months ago.Bobby269 wrote:Then other files have to be copied from my backup on my computer to my

He and I discussed backup, restoring, and card content quite a bit. If you can't find the thread come back and I'll see if I can find it.
