Thank you Karen! (Pad-A-Cheek)

Post by TalonNYC » Sun May 01, 2011 10:55 am

I had indeed been working on mask mark elimination over the last few weeks, and got a set of the snuggle-hose headgear covers. They worked, but the velcro was driving me NUTS. While they do a great job of padding, they tend to roll on the straps for me, which meant I'd get the velcro edge on my skin, leaving... wait for it... a nice red mark in the AM.

Karen, your Pad-A-Cheek protectors were PERFECT. Great padding, better than the other ones, and NO velcro. Yes, it can be a challenge to get the things on with the gizmo that comes with the pads, but once they're on they stay put. The other brand would fall off every other day =(

Also, they're sewn as tubes, so they're pretty much the same feel all around. They haven't rolled on me yet, but who knows? At least if the PAC's roll, it won't leave a bigger mark.

Thanks again Karen. Great product, and also great support. I emailed Karen to ask about some stuff when I ordered my mask covers (have not used them just yet) and she replied the same day with the answers.

I would definitely spend the few extra bucks and purchase these again in future.

Hi, All!

I wanted to chime in with TalonNYC, and say that I also LOVE my Pad A Cheek stuff that I ordered several weeks ago. I use the F&P 431, and Karen makes several products that fit that mask and headgear. I love my neck strap and nose bridge protector!

When I first looked at the website, I thought to myself, There's no way that nose bridge protector will let the mask seal. But I ordered it anyway along with the neck strap because the back of my neck and nose were so sore.

I just LOVE them! The nose bridge protector does NOT interfere with the seal. In fact, the mask seems to seal EVEN better now! I no longer feel that soft breeze into my eyes I sometimes felt. They feel so soft and comfortable! Also, my headgear doesn't look so "clinical," if you know what I mean, and it really LOOKS comfy and personalized.

When I went to my appointment with my sleep doctor, even she was impressed! She checked the seal on my mask and was amazed there were no leaks. We talked about how amazing it is that there's fabric between the mask and your skin, but it STILL SEALS!

I like the ones I already have so much that I just ordered the full face mask liner and the anti-leak strap (because my pressure went way up recently, and I am having trouble keeping the mask sealed good on the sides). I can't wait to get them!

Here's the website if anyone is interested: http://www.padacheek.com/index.html

Thanks, Karen, for a SUPERIOR product! (They are all made by hand, by the way!....)
