Here's my Onkor data

Post by Sireneh » Fri Apr 29, 2011 2:53 pm

Here's a link to last night's data. I'm kind of surprised by the number of obstructive apneas as I thought I was only dealing with UARS. I only had one or two of those the duration of my sleep study.

So anyway, just taking a first look at this, is there anything that jumps out that could be revised in terms of settings? My starting pressure is 7.0 with no ramp. I think I'd prefer to start at 6 and use the ramp feature to get closer to my events range. For the record, my sleep last night was typical as far as I know.

Thanks in advance!

A quick look seems to show that once you get up to 12, your events decrease significantly. I have been chasing my starting pressure up and it seems to be helping my numbers. I would suggest bumping your lower pressure to 8 for a week and seeing if that helps.

For me small adjustments a week apart help me get used to the higher starting pressures. You could also enable the ramp function if you need lower pressures to get to sleep.

Good luck,
Dennis

That sounds reasonable to me. BTW, thank you for posting detailed instructions for uploading data to Onkor on another thread as it helped me tremendously!

Glad to hear that my instructions actual made sense and worked for you.

BTW, your leak graph looked great, I wish mine looked that good but unfortunately I am a mouth-leaker.

What is Pressure Pulse? It seems to proceed several of my OAs.

That's probably the 2cm diagnostic pulse the machine sends to see if your airway is open. It makes sense that you'd get that just before an apnea, as the machine has other ways of detecting that you're heading for trouble.

Yep. If you haven't yet, change the time scale so that each breath is distinct. It's interesting to look at your night breath by breath and see how the machine responds to you, and you to it.
