Post by dusty0318 » Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:23 am

night before last AHI was 5.5... last night 11.8... i woke up miserable about 1 and took my mask off... i had tied the pantyhose too tight across the pillows... "AI was 0.7 same as leak rate.... what did i do wrong?... or is it just a bad night

I don't know the answer to the higher AHI, but I too use the pantyhose fix for my Hybrid mask. I found that placing the pantyhose under the front nozzle of the mask, taking it up over my ears and tying it behind my head takes all the pressure off my nose. It helps to stablize the pillows and keeps the mask from shifting when I change positions. Just a caution, don't cover any vent holes, mine are above the nozzle but I'm not sure about the Liberty mask. This has helped flatten my leak line considerably when using the Hybrid and is much more comfortable. It would be easier to buy a stablizer strap from PadaCheek but I don't think she is producing them for the Hybrid yet.
