Oh, I don't think she will. Motorcyles do have filters. I agree with NS that your gratuitous jibe at the ASAA was uncalled for in this thread.

As for this:
"Why does it bother you so much when I make comparisons to that other site??? Folks are making comparisons regarding machines and masks all the time."

Well, I've seen many an apples to oranges comparison, but that one was reallllllllllly a stretch! LOL!!

But, oh well. Back to filters. This thread reminded me of a money-saving suggestion someone had (this board? another board? does it matter as long as people can find help from many places? ) about buying a "fine filter" for other uses and cutting pieces to fit. That was with a caution, of course, that any substitution better be a material that would not release tiny particles of itself as the air came through.

If the ASAA doesn't qualify as relevant, I'm sure synchronizing carburetors is off limits.
ASAA doesn't use filters, Cars and Motorcycles, and HoseHeads do!

I think that ASAA filter outs Wader from their site. Guess they use filters after all.

Per the instructions in the User Manual under routine maintenance:

2.b. Place the white ultra-fine filter under the clean pollen filter.

I didn't have to crumble mine. I put it in just like this:

and then put in the foam filter and replace the filter cap.
Because of my Asthma, I actually use the fine filter on the outside. (so the black filter is inside and the white filter can be seen from the back of the machine) I don't want ANY dust getting in my machine. Because of that I do replace it about every month or so, but after I see what is on it, I am glad its not in my lungs!
