Everest Use on International Flights - Reviews?

Post by rlasykes » Wed Jan 11, 2006 9:36 am

I travel internationally and domestically all year long. I take my cpap, a Resmed, on every trip, without any trouble from TSA. It is a life saver. For many years, I have flown Atlanta - Europe, stayed awake the entire flight by my own choice as the snoring is incredibly disturbing to others and unhealthy for me - getting a hotel for the night to get a cpap good night's sleep, and then connecting on to the Middle East the next day. It is an aggravation and an added expense.

Delta just announced a non-stop Atlanta - Tel Aviv flight that would eliminate my need to go to NY for a flight or to stop in Europe. However, the flight leaves at 10:45 pm and is 14 hours long. There is no way that I can be awake the entire flight without sleeping the entire day before or being useless for several days after my arrival. The Everest sounds like an interesting option because of the battery. With two batteries, I could get 8 hours of sleep.

Before I invest in the effort to get Delta to use the device in-flight and spend the $, I would like to hear some reviews from people who have bought the Everest and used it with the battery, either in flight or just on the road.

Many thanks.

Hmmm, looks like very few takers.

Here in Oz, Qantas had sockets in some planes that allowed the xPAP to be plugged in at the seat.

Check out if the airline supports medical gear inflight.

Cheers

I will be heading to Holland in a few weeks. Have you had trouble with the issue of different power levels and plugs? I have an abundance of adapters, so that is not an issue.
