With all the serious topic's on this board, I thought you guy's might enjoy something on the lighter side.
I bought new eyeglasses the other day, and was really happy with them........until............I went to bed.
These new glasses sit higher on my nose than the old ones did, and "pinch" my nose quite a bit. (however, they're extremely comfortable)
First night I had them, when I went to bed and put on my nasal mask, it leaked SO bad, I thought the seal was missing! I fiddle around with it in the dark trying to stop the leak comming into my eyes. It took QUITE a while of fiddling, but I finally got it under control.
Next morning, I exam the mask, and can't find anything wrong with it, and chalk it up to just "one of those things".
Last night...I get the same leak!
This time, I take the mask into the bathroom to look at it in the light. I don't see anything wrong with it. I put it on, and look at it in the miror.
AH-HA!!! I see the problem!
It's the "indents" on my nose from my new glasses. They line up perfectly with the silicone seal of the mask, leaving two little "channels" for the air to leak into my eyes. A quick massage gets rid of the indents, and I'm back to bed, leak free!
New Eyeglasses = Major Leaks
Re: New Eyeglasses = Major Leaks
Thanks for the giggle, this AM, I needed that!
Also good to know, as I'm planning to get a set of monitor glasses for use while at my PC all day, which could leave the same dents.

Re: New Eyeglasses = Major Leaks
I actually forgot to take my glasses off when I decided it was sleep time...............wow leak city. I couldn't figure it out, checked my pillows, checked the exhalation vent, hmmmmm, unplugged and went to the mirror to see what was wrong....ooopppps.... glasses still on and they were pushing the side straps on my hybrid out. What can I say, I'm just an OLD, FORGETFUL lady.
Cheers
