Hydrophobic filters?

Post by Otter » Tue Mar 29, 2011 11:28 pm

Has anyone ever tried supposedly hydrophobic filters like these with a humidifier? They have a hydrophobic (won't combine with water) layer on each side of the filter layer, but what happens if water condenses between the layers?

The first site has this caveat:

This doesn't sound very promising, but maybe two could be used alternately, so that each filter had time to dry.
