CPAP 1 yr!

Post by jmcanzo » Sun Mar 27, 2011 7:28 am

Today marks my 1 year anniversary. I am one of the lucky ones. I have used my machine every night since I got it and all night. My AHI runs from 1.5 to 4, I feel a ton better, not falling asleep at my desk, etc. I was hoping for some weight loss, but that has not really happened But I don't think I gained any.
I would not give up my machine for anything!

Congrats on your anniversary and your success with CPAP! Just finishing my first month here and it's great to hear success stories. I'm doing quite well but have had some issues finding the right mask. I also use the machine all night, every night, and haven't had much trouble adjusting. I definitely feel a little better every day but not yet bursting with energy! I'm also hoping that eventually I have the stamina to get some exercise on a regular basis and start losing some weight, but I'm trying to be patient.

Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your story--it's great to hear about people who are doing well on CPAP!

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...
