Hybrid arrived!

Post by TalonNYC » Fri Mar 25, 2011 5:19 pm

Hi folks:

Got the RespCare Hybrid today, going to give it the inaugural run tonight. I thought nothing could feel weirder than the nasal mask...

It work for Durbin, should work for you....Gotta say it just right though or you might end up wearing it on your ears.. I am rusty with the spells. Maybe pins will be better....OKay all done. You should have a scpecialllllllllllll time tonight. Good or bad remains to be seen.

Do watch the video and search for hints on the board!. It took me several nights to make it fit.. The strap across the top of the head is crucial to the fitting comfort. If it is too lose then the other have to be tightened to much. Many of us use an extra strap from lycra or lingerie elastic across the pillows to keep them in place. It doesn't need to be tight, just needs enough tension to keep them in place when turning over.

Yes, as BS said, be prepared for a few nights of tweaking. And go "tights" shopping at Walmart with Roster...

Thanks for all the great tips, as usually you folks were right on the money!

I did watch the video, and took time during the day to fit the thing properly. So far, no need for "tights" LOL - but I'll keep Roster on speed-dial.

See this thread viewtopic/t61986/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=61 ... 31#p580831 for full details.

The only worry was the high leak rate, but the S9 didn't seem to think that was off-target by enough to issue a warning this AM.
