Good news - Good nose

Post by snoozysue » Thu Dec 23, 2010 1:40 pm

I have been using CPAP for approx 9 months and in that time have had a very sore nose bridge issue that was only solved with the daily use of a Comfort Care Sleep Pad under the Quattro mask.
I have been using the new Quattro FX for the last 3 nights and my "numbers" are down quite a bit. The silicone is so soft that last night I decided to sleep without the nose padding and this morning my nose is PERFECT! (at least the colour - I'm not so sure about the shape and size).
No red marks and no sore spots - I am very impressed as it means I don't look like Rudolph and maybe there is one less "thing" I need to wear at night.

I am still looking for a good full face mask. I may have to try that one out. Thanks!

How long does each Sleep care comfort pad last.

I think the recommendation is to replace it each month but I just gently wash it each day and I have been using my current one for at least 3 months. It changes colour slightly - was clear and now has a slight yellow tinge - but it works perfectly.

Nice to hear this from someone else! I was also told to replace it every month and I am 5, maybe 6 months in with the one I have. It has discolored a bit as you said and stretched a bit so I will probably think about replacing soon, but it has been a life (nose?)saver for me.

I've just purchased a Sleep care comfort pad as I found the RemZzzs far too flimsy. I hope this works as the bridge of my nose is sore!
