Keeping an Adam Circuit Headgear clean?

Post by dnelms » Mon Dec 26, 2005 9:37 pm

Any suggestions on how anyone still using the Adam Circuit Headgear (Nasal Pillows) manage to keep the headgear clean? The oils in my hair give it an odor that the material absorbs. We could wash it daily, but it'll not be dry by night time. Just curious what others are doing if they have the same problem.

The best way to deal with the Adam's Circuit Headgear is to upgrade to the New Breeze Sleepgear. It has more stable headgear that can be wiped down.

This is one comfortable interface. It allows you to side sleep without the mask touching the pillows.

Here is a link to the New Breeze Sleepgear from cpap.com

Happy New Year,

Thanks, but I have tried the Breeze. In my case I could not get it to stay tight (even using the straps). I move around alot at night and every time the hose would hang on the pillow the extender would go to work and the seal would start leaking. A quick adjustment no doubt and overall I liked the Breeze. But I spent more time at night correcting it than anything. Well it broke a couple of weeks back.

Decided to get the ComfortCurve Nasal interface. Could not ever get it to give me a good night's sleep. After a few days (a feeling a little more tired each day), I started getting symptoms of vertigo. Woke up to a spinning room during the night. Decided since I was not getting as good a night's sleep, that I'd pull my old Adam Circuit back out. After 2 nights, my vertigo symptoms were gone. Could be just a coeincidence, could be lack of lseep with the new mask? At any rate, it was a $122 mistake. But before I order the $25 headgear again, I was hoping to get some feedback on keeping the headgear clean.
