Just got my new Forma FFM

Post by Portageegal » Thu Dec 30, 2010 11:46 am

I just took my new Forma mask out of the box. I can't wait to try it. It seems to have features that I like, It comes with two different size liners that are soft foam with shaping to them so that it will fit the contours of the face. I'll let you know in the morning how I amke out with it.

Congratulations on getting a new Forma mask. I use the 431 which is similar. I like it. (It comes with three sizes -- Small, medium and large) I started with the medium, then moved to the small. My DME also uses the same mask.
Hope all goes well and it becomes your favorite mask.

Not a good night. I battled leaks all night long even though it was comfortable. Tonight I am going to change to my old headgear because this one is too long for my head. We'll see what happens.

It's the middle of the night and I just switched back to my Quattro. The forma just won't stop leaking no matter what I do. as soon as I relax my chin a little it leaks like crazy.

Sorry that your Forma isn't working for you. Another case of seeing that a certain mask is not for everyone. I like my 431 and the fact that it has the "cup" to place under the chin. That way I don't have to use a chin strap or taping. I changed the insert last night and realize I should have changed it sooner. Just trying to stretch it out for a longer time. I tried the cloth mask liner for several nights and it was ok, but I like it better without.
Hope you can find a mask that just suits you. It is so nice to have a trusty mask to use night after night.
