Hello all, I have been using my C/PAP every night since i got it. I use a gel nose mask set at 9. I didn't have any problems with the fit or getting used to sleeping with it. I have been using it for about a month now and, I am more tired in the afternoons than before. I read some posts that said it took some people a while before they started feeling rested. I've been sleep deprived for years. Guess its going to take a while. I love my gel mask I have loosened the straps to the point just before leakage and it's very comfortable. Well enough for now.

Hi Rocky,
You may be going through REM Rebound. REM Rebound is when your body is so overtired that is holds on to REM sleep and that in it self can make you tired for a month or two. Give it time, you sound like you are on the right track.
Welcome to the Board... This is a cool place. I am sure you will enjoy everyones posts, just like we will enjoy yours.

Hi Rocky
Hi Rocky!
(Rocky? Roger?....Rocky Roger?)
Also, welcome.
Love the tiger! Now I hope you post like crazy, just so I can see that tiger all the time!
How long have you been on the cpap, did you say? Me, two months. I've gotten some relief, but still have a long way to go. I'm hopeful, though.
Welcome to the "club"!

Am I too vain!!??
I'm new to the Cpap thing too - about 2 months now. I've tried two different masks. The complete face mask and now just the nose one with the nasal pillows things. I hate the marks on my face every morning. People at work have asked me what is wrong with my face. I truly have terrific skin for a 63 yr old woman but the stupid head gear is really messing me up. Don't get me wrong - I know my health is worth more than my skin but I'm wondering if I just have the wrong delivery system. Isn't there some type that doesn't have head & face gear to leave marks on your face every morning? [/list]
Hi Grace,
Welcome to the board.
We all have gone, or are going through the search for the perfect mask.
Here are two huge favorites that may help with the marks on the face.
The Resmed Mirage Activa. This mask does not have to be tightened down too tight to get a great seal.

The Puritan Bennett Breeze Sleepgear.
The Breeze with nasal pillows is my all time favorite. There is nothing on the sides of your head, making side sleeping a dream.

There are many folks here who will testify for both of these masks.
Cheers,
Ted
