s9 data
s9 data
Hi, I recently got a s9 and would like to download the data. I am not that computer savvy. I have Windows XP operating system. I downloaded Rescan 3.11 and 3.12. Which one should I use? Which one is better? I understand by reading the posts that I need a Card Reader. Where do I get one? Where does it go? Then what do I do? Would appreciate any help. Steve

Re: s9 data
I have not used ResScan 3.12, but I have used ResScan 3.11 with my S9 AutoSet before it was replaced with a BiPAP. From what I've read here, the differences between ResScan 3.11 and 3.12 seem to be minimal. Go with whichever one installs cleanly the first time on your computer.
Since you have an S9, you won't need a specialized card reader. The S9 uses a standard SD card---the same kind of card that is used by many digital cameras. Your computer may already have an SD card slot on it. Or you may already have an SD card reader lying around the house somewhere that you purchased in order to make it easier to download pictures from you camera. If not, SD card readers are readily available from places like Office Depot and Best Buy for well under $20. You don't need anything fancy---just a standard SD card reader that attaches to the computer's USB port.
Now when you go to download the data, you will need to first start ResScan. Once you are in ResScan, you'll need to create a patient record for yourself. You will want to make sure that you choose to download ALL the data---both the summary data and the detailed data instead of just the summary data. If you don't download the data at least once every seven days, you will lose some of the detailed data since the S9 overwrites the detailed flow data every seven days.
Good luck and welcome to the forum!
