follow up visit

Post by bnph » Fri Dec 09, 2005 8:11 pm

I have learned a lot from the members on this site and would like to say thank you. Monday I am going back for a routine scheduled follow up visit so they can evaluate my usage and make any adjustments to my euipment if necessary. I began using my Swift and Remstar Pro2 with integrated heated humidifier 11/17/05.

There are many post about "terrible DME's, Doctors, insurance" etc. I count my blessings because my DME, Doctor, and insurance have been wonderful and it has been smooth sailing so far.

The Sleep Lab which evaluated me one of the first Accredited Sleep labs in the country. I didn't know that. My DME has a "sleep suite" stocked with all the CPAP equipment and even a bed in the room so you can lay down if you want to with the equipment on.

Here are two links to articles about the sleep lab and DME I case anyone is interested.

Can't offer any "words of wisdom" since I'm new. Hope this will help or encourage someone and mainly want to say thank you for what I learned from everyone.

That's great news, bnph. You're not alone. I too have an absolutely outstanding doc and a very good DME. In my case, the doc and sleep disorder clinic were found by dumb luck, as that's who I was referred to by my primary care doc. I've also never had the slightest issue with my insurance. Again, that's just being in the right place at the right time.

Glad to know that you're doing well so far.
