Is mixed apnea the same as complex apnea? I have a lot of links to information on complex apnea (Thanks, JohnBFisher!), and it is possible/probable that this is what I have. But I was also told that I may have mixed apnea. I guess I'm not just sure what that is. Could someone please help me out?
Thanks!

Re: Mixed Apnea?
My understanding (and I'm sure NM will correct me if I'm wrong ) is a mixed apnea is a central that turns into an obstructive.
For e.g. Your breathing effort reduces and stops (central apnea) then your airway closes and when you start to breathe again it's blocked (obstructive apnea)
I don't think you can have a mixed apnea the other way i.e. obstructive to central, in one breath, but the hyper ventilation after an obstructive may lead to a central ... if you are so disposed.
