I have been part of a wonderful Al-Anon group when I needed it and then an online grief support group when I needed that. The coping mechanisms I learned helped me through a rare, severe allergic reaction and the months long recovery and, now, with some help here, I'm adjusting to OSA therapy. I tend to watch quietly from up in the balcony, but please know that even though I don't post as frequently as some, I'm up here cheering us all on and finding most of my answers before I need to articulate the questions.BlackSpinner wrote: This is so true. I went through a similar situation with migraines which made adjusting to CPAP so much easier because once you have done it once you have learned the tricks. You can then apply them to the rest of your life. Having migraines taught me so much that I have to say "thank you". Having OSA has taught people here so many coping skills and let them know that they too can win and no matter what they can make it through and take back control.
As Friedrich Nietzsche said,
I don't intend to let OSA kill me. Rather, I fully intend to own my own therapy and use it to give me a longer, better life! That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
Thanks for being here everyone!
