accessing member profiles?

Post by Doubtful Tom » Thu Nov 11, 2010 10:23 am

When I try to access a member profile, unless it's highlighted in blue, which includes only a few, I get this message: "You do not have permission to do that, for the following reason: The action you have requested is limited to users in the group user."

I thought we're all "group users" as long as we're registered on site? Is there another step involved in becoming a group user?

I ask becaue a number of recent posts have recommended contacting "Uncle Bob" for info re software, but I can't access his profile for contact info.

What am I doing wrong?
thanks,
tom

I just clicked on your name "doubtful tom" below your avatar and was sent directly to your profile. Or go to members list and type in the name you want.

Be sure you are logged in first to invoke that privilege. All our names are in blue unless someone is a guest or has failed to log in which then shows the name in black and is unclickable.

I think Uncle Bob may not be picking up his PM's because he was so over loaded with request for software links.
You can use the search link to get your answer though.
If you still need help, PM me.
