Thank you all Vets, for your service

Post by The Texan » Wed Nov 10, 2010 8:02 pm

On this day that we salute all those who served and some who gave the supreme sacrifice, I offer these 2 comments.

The American flag does not fly because the wind moves past it---The American
flag flies, from the last breath of each military member, who has died protecting it.

A Veteran is someone who at one point in their life wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including, their life. That is beyond honor and there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact.

Proud to have served my country in several capacities, for 45 years.
Bob

We are enjoying this freedom only because of our armed forces, past and present. Honor them when ever you can.

To all the veterans reading this:
I feel a little guilty that I may be nearly as grateful for the day off work as I am for you veterans
putting yourselves in harm's way for the benefit of all of the rest of us; but thank you just the same.

I think only Image vet's should decide if we go to war the next time!

Put in my 6 yr's Image and didn't think the people at home even knew what was going on. . . . Lip service was cheep Image a believer need to here a bullet go by.
I would like to THANK all those that LOST a friend / Son or Daughter in the name of (W)e (A)re (R)ight. They are the ones that gave a FULL MEASURE.

Not to detract from this day but I would like to say that "There are NO Winners in a WAR" and we all bear the cost for years after.

I salute all those who gave and allowed me to serve. If you can't give to your country give where you live. Let us leave this place better than we found it.

I also salute the Patriot Guard; for their kindness and solidarity to the bereaved loved ones of those who gave the final measure.
No thanks to the narrow-minded hypocrites who stalk military funerals for their own selfish reasons-however twisted.
