different pressures
I have tried a full face mask - too claustrophobic but maybe I could get used to it. I use a nasal mask. It all takes getting used to. I got some nasal pillows to see if that would help with 'allergy' stuff. I find that when I use them, the pressure seems so strong I could hardly breath and it burns my nose. It seems like the pressure should be adjusted to whatever type of mask you wear doesn't it? BTW, I would love to know how to adjust the pressure.
Re: different pressures
Hi, actually the pressure is prescribed according to your needs as seen by the sleep doctor, and your mask needs to be adjusted to the pressure, not the other way around. You don't mention if you're using a humidifier, and I wonder if it could be related to your burning nose. You said you used nasal pillows to help with 'allergy' stuff, but do you mean an allergy to the silicone used in a full face frame, because it would still be present in most nasal pillow masks. More information please - right above the list of postings on the left is a small link called User Control Panel and if you click on it, can go to your member page where there's a place to fill in the full name and model #'s of your equipment (and please click 'text' vs 'icons' at the end) so we know what you're using. Also what you're prescribed pressure(s) is. Did you try the FF mask (which?) because of mouth breathing? If so, a higher pressure would make that worse once you're back on a nasal mask. We could help with the pressure depending on everything else.
