machine question...with a beep

greetings

I have a new respironics Auto Bipap Biflex system one

when I turned the machine off this morning, a repeated beep sounded until I hit the button again.
afterwards there was an X over the info box on the led readout
I removed the card, then put it back in and the X went away

one more concerning thing..I have used the machine for 20 days and it has always read 1% periodic breathing
though my AHIs came down last night, the periodic breathing read 9%

can anyone explain this to me...I'm wondering if I should even trust these readouts?
