This reminds me how DMEs alienate their customers. I use the Quattro. When I asked to try the UM, I was told that the Quattro was an improved UM, and therefore the latter wouldn't fit any better. That kind of laziness and indifference is all too common. Without this forum, who would challenge statements like that? Lots of people report liking one more than the other, not out of quality differences, but just because of the remarkable variations of the human face.

Another reminder, after using the UMFF successfully for 6 months, we went to the DME for a replacement and were told they don't stock the UM any longer and we'd have to accept the Quattro as a replacement even though my husband had failed with it. I called Medicare to complain and was told that if a mask was still being manufactured the DME was obliged to stock it for a returning patient. She said she would take care of it and 2 hrs later I got a call from the DME to tell me they had "found" some UMFFs misplaced on a "top shelf" and would send a messenger out with one. She never mentioned the call from the nice lady at Medicare. We've had no trouble since.

when the headgear get warn just get new headgear and you fine. The mask I have now is about three years old but I replace the headgear every six months or so.
