I know it will come as no surprise to anyone here that Crapria has messed up again, but I'll tell you what they did to me this time.
Several weeks ago I completed a new sleep study. While at the sleep Doc I did my study and tried a FF Mask.
After the results were looked at by my Doc, he increased my pressure and wrote an order to Apria to increase the pressure on my machine AND to have me go in and get fitted for a FF Mask.
Of course, I wasn't going to wait for an appointment at the local Crapria office and had someone else who is even MORE qualified than Crapria do the adjustment. ( wink wink )
The local office has an "Open Clinic" day on Thursdays and I planned to go in tomorrow and get the "fitting" for a new FF Mask.
Here's the problem..... when I got home from work today I had a package from Crapria with a FF Mask inside.
WHAT ? You may ask... how in the world could Crapria send you a mask without knowing which one you wanted or even more importantly, what SIZE you needed ?
Ya... I asked myself that very same question.
W T H CRAPRIA ! WHAT KIND OF A**HOLES ARE YOU ?????
The mask I used during my study was a Quatro and these idiots sent me a "Comfort Classic" size Medium.
The stupidity never ends with Apria.
Now I gotta send it back and they won't issue the credit and I won't be able to get another mask as usual. I've been thru it many times with them.
WHY....oh WHY... did they mail me a mask ?
It just boggles my mind.

Re: APRIA (CRAPRIA) STRIKES AGAIN !!!
Sounds like they have a sweet deal with the lab/doc.
You need to TAKE the mask back and demand a credit.
You need to go top the doc/lab and demand they send prescriptions to YOU!
This is your RIGHT!
Don't give up.

Did you open the mask? If not, take it back to them and demand a refund.
Why do you stay with them if you are having that many problems with them?

Just bring the mask to the open clinic with you. They should be able to fix this mess while you're there. Double check with your MD and be sure the rx for mask says patients choice. This way they won't have to wait for another rx if a certain mask is specified on the original. When they send you a wrong item have them send you a call tag or prepaid postage label so you can return it at their cost. When you place an order with Apria it helps to have all part numbers ready, give them the item name and part number and have them repeat it all back to you. Will they still mess the order up...yep, but hopefully some of the items will be correct!

PS Allen, my ins uses Apria and only Apria. I have no choice in the matter. That's why I use cpap.com whenever possible. It's easier for me to buy what I need than to deal with Apria.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for the comments.
I really wish I could use another DME but my insurance company is Cigna who uses Apria exclusivley. No other choice.
It's more like an affiliate than a sub-contractor. I cannot understand how Cigna can let Apria charge them at least triple the cost of a machine and supplies and Cigna just pays them with no question.
The way business really works.... is if you use a supplier/contractor such as Cigna uses Crapria..... the more volume in sales, the greater the discount. But that principle seems to go out the window with their relationship.
So... for sure.... there is more to the story that we (I) do not know. My opinion is that there must be some sort of kick-back scam going on between the two.
Ever since my initial dealings with Crapria and the total fiasco they put me through< i have been getting things from CPAP.Com too. But I have gotten two masks and two orders for filters from them. But it was a chore to get that done with them as they are totally incompetent and uncaring.
I even bought my machine from CPAP.Com as Crapria would not give me the machine my Doctor prescribed. I've posted the story a couple of times so I won't rehash it here.
I did not open the mask and I do intend to take it over to the local office today during the "open clinic".
I am sure that is not going to be pleasant either.... their "Open Houses" have been a joke and nothing more than a high pressure sales tactic so I think the Clinic will be a joke as well.
I HATE APRIA !

Re: APRIA (CRAPRIA) STRIKES AGAIN !!!
Kaiser has an exclusive contract with Crapria too. Believe me, the insurers are NOT paying "at least triple the cost of a machine and supplies" to Crapria. The insurers give Crapria HUGE volume and lifetime repeat business and get significant cost considerations in return. My Kaiser DME plan has me paying 20% of Kaiser's cost and I am paying FAR less than 20% of the online prices, so I know Kaiser is not paying anywhere near the online retail costs (which are far less than Crapria's "prices").
With their drop ship policy, the repeat business, and volume, Crapria is sitting pretty, too. Kaiser is essentially its own DME, Crapria is merely the supplier, so they have little or no contact with or responsitibility for the patient exept when they demand the co-pays, and not very nicely, either. They don't even have to take the orders for supplies from the patients--Kaiser does that and transmits them electronically to Crapria.
Crapria is basically a mail order program, without the customer service one would expect from any other online mail order because they could care less if you are happy or not. If you do happen to manage to talk to a human being there, they are nasty and complain because of their low profit margins from Kaiser. Not my problem--THEY made the deal.
