mask recommendations

Post by cortez356 » Sun Oct 24, 2010 4:36 pm

I still have not ordere a CPAP but am very close. I am at a loss when it coms to a mask choice. I will probably order on the net. I do have a beard, large nose and am not a mouth breather. I would like something that will work well for a beginner. Until I am sure how the CPAP works I really dont want to spend a lot of money on the mask. The machine if not required could easily be sold. I do sleep on my side and stomach. Any ideas??

Thanks

Hi - little tip from a stomach sleeper here - make sure the CO2 vent is not in a place that will be blocked by bedding - it should not be right on the angle between the hose and mask (as most seem to be!). My UltraMirage FF vents from much higher on the mask, so it works, but not very many do, though if you use a Pap Pillow or some other arrangement it might not matter.
