Everyone is different, but I took Klonopin for a few years until my panic disorder symptoms subsided, and when I stopped taking it, I stopped cold turkey with absolutely no withdrawal symptons.

I take it only "as needed" for occasional agitation at work, e.g. when I am on the verge of telling a boss that he is a fucking idiot and getting myself fired for doing so. Sometimes just knowing I have it available if needed is enough to do the trick. Let's not get all Southern Baptist and freak out just because it is a "psychiatric mediation." Ooooooh!
Awesomesauce.

You were very lucky. I have heard stories varying from yours to the most intense withdrawal. I had a very hard time with it as did my wife - but we were on it for quite a few years. I personally see nothing wrong with Klonopin, other than the fact that Dr.'s tend to abruptly take you off of it when you stop taking it. Go slowly! Very slowly!

The only real problem with Klonopin other than potential of withdrawal is that it can make you very tired. I know people who thought that something was wrong with them when they took it as they were always tired.
