Glad I could be of assistance. Another good place to keep important medical papers is in the silverware drawer, underneath the container. I have a genetic disease and there are many drugs that can cause ill effects if administered to me. I keep 2 copies of the list there that way if I have to go to the Dr or the hospital for any reason myself or my wife know where they are. The list is several pages long so to big to keep in the fridge....however there are no drugs on the list that medics might give me so as long as the ER knows my history they can look them up.

As far as DNR's go I don't know how it is in any other state but in Illinois if you don't have the DNR onsite in your possession it does you know good. The medics can't honor it unless it's there. those of you who have them might want to check into that. You could probably go to your local fire dept and the should be able to tell you. Living Will's don't work for first responders here either.
