Hello everyone,
I did a followup sleep study last night after six months (lost alot of weight, wasn't getting the same benefits of therapy). Maybe I need to adjust pressure settings. The doctor ordered it requesting to please not use any cpap/bipap unless AHI over 20 is exhibited. I originally had and AHI of over 100 an hour. So here is what happened:
1) no apneas
2) no oxygen desats
3) no decent rem sleep
4) did not complete 6 hours
An A/C fuse box kept making noise every 20-30 as the ac went on and off. At 3:15am I was wide awake and the tech finally also heard the NOISE. The study will be rescheduled for next week and they will fix the fuse box.
My original pressure settings were IPAP 18 and EPAP 14. Does anyone have suggestions regarding how I might approach adjusting the pressure settings myself??? I am not sure if I drop the IPAP by 1? drop both EPAP and IPAP together? or drop both by 2? I searched the forum for pressure setting adjustment and I have been unable to find a match that lines up with my situation.
thanks for your input....

If I'm following this, you're about to have another sleep study. Presumably if you are diagnosed with OSA again, they will do a titration and will tell you what to set your machine to.
That's very hopeful that you had no apneas and no desaturations. Here's hoping that it continues even once they capture some REM.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have the study again in about two weeks.
