I'm new to CPAP and just ordered an EncoreViewer. My machine is a RemStar Pro C-Flex in case it matters. Here's my stupid question:
When using the EncoreViewer is it really obvious how to avoid erasing the results from the smart card? I want to be able to review my results but want to be completely sure I don't erase anything before my doctor has a chance to review. I'm sure it's a stupid questions but I was curious. Thanks.
Really stupid EncoreViewer question
Re: Really stupid EncoreViewer question
I wouldn't say it's a stupid question. I just got my software last night and didn't see any obvious way to delete the information. I was able to download it to the computer and then view the reports. I saved a copy of the report to my laptop and then closed the software. Then I just removed the card and re-inserted it into my machine. I took it out again this morning and followed the same procedure. All the data was still there.
I have been in the world of IT officially for almost 6 years now and I have almost never seen the ability to delete something without confirming that you want to delete it first. Obviously there is always the exception to the rule.

Re: Really stupid EncoreViewer question
You cannot unintentionally erase the smart card or the SD card. You have to deliberately format either card to erase them.
You can load the data onto your computer with the software and the data will stay on the card until it is formatted.
