In the morning when I remove my mask, it feels like someone is pouring a glass of water on my face. This only happens when I use the humidifier.
My machine is a Legacy that my DME is lending to me. If I don't use the humidifier, no water fills up my mask. What am I doing wrong? There doesn't seem to be settings that I can see on the humidifier.

Re: water pours from mask when I remove it
I'd ask the DME about instructions for the humidifier. There's got to be some way of turning down the level of humidification.

Re: water pours from mask when I remove it
To help determine what's causing the problem, realize that the water comes from two sources: condensation inside the hose....and or.....condensation inside the mask.
Hose condensation is generally caused by moisture condensing inside your hose because your humidifier is turned up higher than you actually need....along with a very cool bedroom. To solve this problem, throttle back on your humidifier setting and insulate your hose with a "Snugglehose Cover" from CPAP.com.
Mask condensation is commonly caused by moisture in exhaled breath. Increased moisture in the breath can be made worse by a humidifier that is set too high. Throttle back on the humidifier...and think about adding a "wick" on the inside of your mask. I use a double strand of cotton string inside of mine....works perfectly!

If you don't need the heat, just the humidity... put water in the humidifer and don't turn it on.

While you're waiting to get instructions on how to change the humidifier settings, you can try something else. Is your machine higher than your bed? If the water is coming from the humidifier and the machine is higher than your bed, the water in the hose flows down into your mask. If the machine is lower, then the water drains back downhill as the hose rises up to your bed.
