What will Respironics APAP do if card is not inserted?

Post by jonquiljo » Wed Oct 13, 2010 2:59 pm

Last night I forgot to completely re-insert my SD card in my System One APAP - and I feel terrible today as if I haven't slept well. This is the first time in the last 6 weeks (since I began therapy) that I have felt like crap.

Without the card - does the System One remember your settings? Or does it go to 4-20 and basically remembers none of your settings? The more the day wears on, the more I feel like the machine did nothing. Thanks.

Your settings have nothing to do with whether the card is in or not. You won't get results from last night unfortunately, but that's all that would be affected. The card does not affect the machine in any way, just gets data put on it by the machine.

Thanks. I thought it wouldn't "forget" but you never know. Every time I re-insert the card or make changes it writes something to the SD card. It made no sense unless it was writing the changes to the card.

Perhaps I just had a bad night - spent yesterday traveling with my wife to a memorial service for a family friend - very sad and tiring (a lot of driving too).
