S9 reporting wrong usage hours ?

I went to bed around 11:00 pm last night, had no truble falling asleep. I turned my machine off at around 6:00 this morning and checked the data on the screen as normal. But the usage hours this morning stated that the machine only ran for 3.5 hours. Has anyone ran across this before? Is my machine going on the fritz? I have only had it since July.

It happened to me once, a few months ago. I called cpap.com, who I purchased it from, and they recommended turning off the cpap with the on/off button, then unplugging it. If it happened the next night, then I should call back. I didn't need to, because that solved the problem, and it hasn't happened again.

Yes and I did what KatieW did. It fixed the problem. I have started turning mine off ( hold down the on/off button for 3 seconds) every day about an hour after I get up. I unplug it once every 2 to 3 weeks.
