sorry you are having such a rough time of it..

if you can go to the control panel and put in your machine and pressure and mask, someone here will pop in and be able to give you
some advice....

I'll take a shot.

I am no expert and certainly know little about your humidifier but "5" seems high to me based only on my own experience. Mine is set on 2 and that is what was recommended to me. I am equally sure someone will say 5 is fine.

What I wanted to convey to you was what me respiratory therapist said another patient told him. He said he used "ice" in his humidifier tank.......(I know!). But he told me not to forget this and that because maybe that would work for me if I had any sort of problem and may want to try that. I don't know but I guess you never know.

In the upper left hand corner of any page, just below the main banner you will see:
User Control Panel (0 new messages) * View your posts

Click on "User Control Panel." Inside of there, look down on the left and find "Profile" and click on that. Then below that and down to the left, click on "Edit equipment." Then in the right portion of the pane, use the drop down menus to select your equipment. Save your changes and then you can click on the big "cpaptalk.com" logo in the upper left to come back to the thread list.
