sleepweaver mask...yea or nay?

Post by reallyneedsleep » Thu Oct 07, 2010 12:06 pm

Just got my 1st sleepweaver mask, last night was 1 night. This was as close to not having a mask on my face since i started Cpap (2 months ago). My question is has anyone used this mask long term? It is so light and comfortable but my concern is do the last? Not much to them, looking forward to night 2.
i don't always sleep my friends, but when I do, beer helps

For comfort you can't beat it.

I used it nightly for about 2 months, until my dog chewed it. I wasn't worn at all; I'm sure it would have lasted at least 6 months. I'll will buy another one.

It was hard to get control of the leaks. You must check your leak data in order to use the Sleepweaver IMO.

Hi,
I use the sleepweaver sometimes, I want to use it more but I can't seem to control the leaks!
Do you have that problem?
I think they are wonderful and would last just as long as any other mask if taken care of properly.
I've had mine probrably 6 months, sorry i wish I could say I have worn it that long.
good luck!!!

I used it as my first mask, but I have moved on to the Swift LT for Her. The Sleepweaver is a wonderfully comfortable mask, but I did have a leak at the bridge of my nose that I was able to seal using padded moleskin. I got a better AHI reading with the pillows, but I have also adjusted my pressure so I should give the Sleepweaver another try to see what my data shows now. I would think it would last 6 months with proper care.

Nay for me. I couldn't sleep through the constant leaks. Also, there was a seam under the nose that really bothered me. Very disappointing.

I have a drawer full of masks and I change them like I change pajamas. If I had to only have one mask I would want it to be a sleepweaver. It is like wearing nothing. I don't have leak problems with it.
