My anti-leak technique worked!

Post by Bons » Thu Oct 07, 2010 4:44 am

I've been going nuts waking up at nights when my pressure rises to 14 or so (it's still unset for parameters during my home titration, so it starts out at 6/4). I couldn't get any kind of adjustments to the mask that would work, so I tried stabalizing it in a different way. I left the headgear straps a bit looser, then cut an ace bandage along the length to make it narrower and wrapped that around my head between the hose connection and the exhalation vents. I only woke up for one leak last night, and pressure was at 15 when my alarm went off this morning.

Thanks for the tip. I may try it with myslightly over-sized Quattro. Might give a more even pressure than the straps alone.
What!!? Wylie was trying to eat me.
Any time spent being unhappy is wasted.

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
