CPAP vs. BiPAP

I have a new web site on CPAP vs. BiPAP. It has some technical stuff in it (I am a sleep physician), but may have some useful information for people who want to know the differences. I also include adaptive servo ventilation, a newer mode of machine for people with central sleep apnea.

I have been using a M Series Auto CPAP Machine with C-Flex for the last year. I travel a lot so I bought one off Craigs the other day to use when i am traveling to keep from packing and packing all the time. Its was a M series Bipap and not auto CPAP with C-flex.

Its an older one but only had 220 hours and does not have the smart card. When I set if it for my Dr order at 15 and started it I could not keep the mask on. It does have the ramp button on it that will let it start at 5 for 45 minutes then goes to 15. I undertand that it being a BiPAP it also has another setting that i was told should be set about 3 or 4 lower than the on 15.

My question is i looked back at my CPAP Auto settings and the avg setting on is 10.7. Would you think it would be a problem if i set the bipap at 11.5 for IPAP and the other one at 8.5 for EPAP?
